Heart Breaker

Pitch

This game aims to be a Puzzle-Platformer with Bridge-Building. In future, I am also planning to add a few rogue-like features if the time and budget permits. However, for now, it is just a humble beginning, aimed towards the submission of the game jam. I wanted to add enemy bombers, but couldn't do it in the given time. But I am  happy about the back-story and setup that could be beginning of a great and fun adventure.  

If the interest peaks and I am able to secure funding, I would like to add more competitive features such as top 5 in the leaderboards, ability to buy in-game coins that could be used to revive the character (if I add rogue-like perma death, some of the players might want to be able to revive). I want to add more content, more levels and possibly a level-builder or random levels. I also want to give the player the ability to adjust difficulty.

That's my 2 cents... or paragraphs... ahem. Enjoy the game!

Story

This is the story of Bridget Bond. She is betrayed and abducted by her friend James the Bond-Breaker (pun intended). Her lover Sam the Bridge-Builder must build bridges and reach to the island where she is kept by James.

Theme: Bridges and Bonds

This is a submission to the https://itch.io/jam/we-create-android-game-jam-2023-asia. The theme was Bridges and Bond. We need to build bridges to reach our beloved. And the bond of friendship was broken by the antagonist. He also literally breaks bonds of the bridges by bombing them as the protagonist builds them to reach his love Bridget Bond (again, pun intended).
